Welcome to the New IC.

We’re More Than Just a Great Rate

Quite a bit has changed in the world since IC was founded in 1928, but the core principle on which we were founded has not. For nearly a century, IC Credit Union has operated on the simple concept of providing standout financial solutions and support to those that need it. Over the years, we’ve had to adapt and change in order to continue growing to meet or exceed our members’ expectations. Unfortunately, we feel like we haven’t lived up to these expectations over the last few years.

That changes today.

Today, I’m both proud and excited to be announcing a renewed focus on the IC brand. This includes nearly all facets of the credit union including our logo, our core values, our facilities, the products we offer, and the service you can expect from us. Because all of this ultimately means a better IC for our members.

I encourage you to read more below and learn more about all the exciting things happening around the credit union.

Sincerely,

Christopher P. Hendry, President & CEO signature

Relaunching our Brand

Updates to Our Logo

Gathering feedback from our members, it became clear that we needed to make some adjustments to our logo.

IC Credit Union logo

Click on a bubble to read about all of the recent changes.

Any members or returning visitors may notice that we’ve dropped the ‘Federal’ from our logo.
We heard that it caused confusion on our name and didn’t want that aspect of our identity to define who we are. Rest assured, we’re still a federally-chartered credit union, it’s simply a change to how we refer to ourselves. So today, we’re simply IC and we’re here to help our members make great financial decisions and help in any way we can.

It became clear, after hearing from our members, that the smallest part of our logo represented one of our biggest characteristics – being a credit union. With our new logo, it is clear that we’re a credit union – and proud of it!

We’ve made adjustments to the design so that the I and C are easier to see, putting the focus back on IC.

The upward-pointing triangle promotes growth and prosperity, which is a vision we have for all of our members. We’ve made a small adjustment to the corners by eliminating the sharp edges of our previous logo. This may seem like a small change but rounding them helps us convey a more casual and approachable feeling.

If you look more closely at the I, hidden in plain view is actually a person who represents our members, because they’re at the center of everything we do.

Our color palette is a little different from what you might expect from other banks or credit unions.
That’s because we are a little different from other banks and credit unions. Come meet our people and you’ll find out why.

A Renewed Focus

We wanted to capture the essence of the new IC in a single, simple phrase.
We want our members to know that we understand banking isn’t always fun and can be challenging, but we’re always going to be here for them, every step of the way.

We’re with you tagline

This isn’t a tagline. To us, this is a powerful statement on how we show up for you. Every day.

Welcome to the New IC – The Next Chapter.

Message from the President

Posted: February 21, 2024

We know that the speed of technological innovation has never been faster and that our members need and expect us to keep up. That’s why we’ve been hard at work building our foundation that will allow us to implement new solutions. That means putting new people in the right places and securing new partnerships that open the doors to new financial technologies.

That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that in a few short months, we’ll be transforming our digital banking platform. The new system will be easier to use and have more functionality, giving you more control over your finances than ever before.

Reaffirming Our Commitment to the Community and to Our Members

“We believe that the impact we make in the community is the core of why we’re here.”

~ Christopher P. Hendry, President & CEO

For decades, IC has been known as a partner that local organizations could rely on to make an impact on their cause. However, over the past several years, we’ve recognized that our impact hasn’t been where it needs to be, so we’re renewing our focus on community involvement. This year, we’re fortunate enough to donate over $200,000 to well-deserving local community organizations.

Last year, we launched IC’s Great Holiday Giveback which raffles off the chance to name a charity that we donate to during the holiday season.

“Over the next several years, you will see big changes in our facilities.”

~ Christine Lane-Monette, EVP & Chief Financial Officer

Improving Our Facilities

We realized that the condition our facilities are in don’t accurately reflect who we are.

“Over the next several years, you will see big changes in our facilities.”

~ Christine Lane-Monette, EVP & Chief Financial Officer

This is an area that hasn’t been a focus, until now. Over the coming months, members can expect to see some minor but noticeable improvements, and we’re working on a strategic roadmap to make major improvements to all of our locations. Stay tuned as we’ll be sharing more information on these plans in the coming months.

Additionally, we recently installed five new ATMs across our branch network that are far more reliable and have enhanced deposit capabilities. We’ve also installed cash recyclers in all of our locations for more efficiency.

New Leadership Ignites Changes

“Chris brings a unique perspective, and looks at things very differently.”

~ Christine Lane-Monette, EVP & Chief Financial Officer

So many of the positive changes you’re witnessing at IC come down to the board’s recognition of our need for a leader who truly thinks differently, who has an unconventional background, and who can ignite genuine change.

These needs were addressed by Christopher Hendry stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer. With minimal industry background, Chris had no preconceived notions or expectations about what a credit union CEO should be.

“Our commitment to investing in our technology stems from our member-first approach.”

~ CarrieAnne Cormier, Chief Operating Officer

Improved Technology, Better Products

The speed of technology advancements has never been faster and we know our members need and expect us to keep up.

We know that our members expect immediate access to their money, wherever they are. We also know that they depend on us to help them make smart financial decisions. That’s why we’re investing heavily on modernizing our technology on all ends of the spectrum so that our members will have the tools and education they need to achieve financial wellness.

For instance, we recently launched the ability to check your credit score upon logging into the mobile app. It gives you a full view of your credit score, a vital piece of your overall financial profile. We’re excited about the road ahead and look forward to sharing more information on these upcoming enhancements.

The Road Ahead

We’re really excited about sharing this renewed focus of moving the credit union forward in these key areas.
Expect to see and hear a lot more in the coming months.

Welcome to the new IC Credit Union.
