    IC Credit Union will not authorize and pay overdrafts caused by one-time debit card transactions unless you authorize us to do so.

    We want to ensure that our Members make fully informed decisions about their IC Credit Union accounts. If you have any questions, please contact our Member Service Center at  800-262-1001 on Monday through Wednesday at 8:00 – 5:00, Thursday and Friday at 8:00 – 6:00, or Saturday at 9:00 – 1:00.

    When you have an overdraft as a result of a debit card or ATM transaction, we may cover the shortfall and approve the transaction, charging you a fee of $30.00. In order for us to do this, we need your written permission or opt-in before covering ATM and one-time debit transactions when the funds are not available.

    FAQ

    We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:

    • Checks and other transactions using your checking account number
    • Automatic bill payments

    We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to:

    • ATM transactions
    • Everyday debit card transactions

    We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

    Under our standard overdraft practices the following fees are imposed:

    • A fee of $30 will be assessed to your account each time we pay an overdraft when the negative balance created by the overdraft is greater than $30.
    • IC Courtesy Pay Overdraft Fees may be assessed on items previously returned due to insufficient funds when those same items are presented and paid.
    • The maximum number of paid overdraft fees that we will charge you is limited to four per account, per day.
