IC Credit Union Pledges $15K for Heywood Healthcare Quabbin Retreat Project

“Your support helps fund a significant unmet need”

Leominster, MA – September 13, 2018 – In support of Heywood Healthcare’s “Fulfilling Our Promise Campaign,” IC Credit Union has pledged $15,000 over a three-year period to be designated to the Quabbin Retreat project. “Your support of the Quabbin Retreat Project helps to fund a significant unmet need for behavioral healthcare in Central and North Central Massachusetts,” said Winfield S. Brown, President & CEO of Heywood Healthcare. “The Quabbin Retreat will offer a wide array of services to augment treatment and support recovery,” stated Dawn Casavant, VP of Development, Chief Philanthropy Officer and Executive Director of the Heywood Charitable Foundation.

Phase I of the project, Day Treatment and Adult Residential Services, are now being provided. Phase II and Phase III, the opening of the Adolescent Resident Care Center and the Inpatient Detox Unit respectively, are in the development/planning stages. The retreat will also offer services such as life skills training, family education and vocational assistance. “On behalf of IC’s Board of Directors, Management Team and Staff, we are proud to do our part to help provide financial assistance to this life-saving project,” said Tony Emerson, President & CEO of IC Credit Union, “and we would like to encourage other community leaders to contribute as well so that the entire ‘Fulfilling Our Promise’ campaign can be put into motion.”
