FITCHBURG, MA – IC Credit Union is proud to announce a $2,372 donation to the Sterling Animal Shelter, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals in need. Founded in 1988 and incorporated in 1996, the shelter operates as a no-kill facility with no time or age restrictions, providing compassionate shelter and top-quality medical care for stray, unwanted, abused, and neglected animals. Their mission is to find loving, lifelong homes for every pet that comes through their doors.
“At IC Credit Union, we believe in strengthening our communities through compassion, generosity, and teamwork,” said Christopher P. Hendry, President and CEO of IC Credit Union. “The Sterling Animal Shelter’s dedication to protecting and caring for animals is inspiring, and we’re honored to support their important work.”

The donation includes funds raised through IC Credit Union’s Jeans for Charity program, where employees contribute a portion of their paycheck to support local causes in exchange for the privilege of wearing jeans on designated days. IC Credit Union matched these contributions dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact for the shelter.
