Fitchburg, MA – June 16, 2025 – Each year, IC Credit Union is proud to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue higher education at accredited institutions.
This year, IC awarded eight scholarships, totaling $12,500, to outstanding local students. Among them was a scholarship presented in partnership with the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, five scholarships focused on children of members, and two scholarships for team members or their respective children.
The recipients were selected from nearly 60 applicants based on academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, and a thoughtful proposal detailing how they would give back to their communities if given the chance.
“Our focus on education has been part of our mission from day one,” noted Christopher Hendry, President and CEO of IC Credit Union. “The impact we have in our community by assisting members with the cost of education is incredibly rewarding. And our members appreciate the support we provide while standing side-by-side with them in their financial journey.”
The scholarship recipients were carefully chosen for their ability to reflect IC’s core values—academic dedication, leadership, and a passion for community service.
IC extends its’ heartfelt congratulations to this year’s scholarship recipients and wishes them continued success in their academic pursuits
