The Board of Directors at IC Credit Union just announced a new community initiative fund that will be distributed to those who are struggling due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the impact of Covid-19. “We want our community to know that we are here for them,” said Norman Gariepy, Chair of the Board. “We sincerely hope that some financial relief will help families feel a little more empowered,” Gariepy continued, “and little by little, a surge of energy will spread throughout our community.”
“IC has a long history of giving back,” said David Celuzza, Director, “and we really want this initiative to be lasting. With funds currently set to $50,000, it will help us connect to the community in a more impactful way, and hopefully spark some new beginnings.”
“Appropriately,” said Phil Richards, CEO, “we have named this new initiative, ‘EMPOWER’ and we plan to meet with community leaders and non-profit organizations to help decide where assistance is most needed.”
