Marlborough Branch Closing Notice

At IC Credit Union, we have a longstanding history of proudly serving the North Central Massachusetts community since 1928. Founded in Fitchburg as a member-owned, non-profit institution; our organization was built by local community members who needed access to basic savings tools and low cost loans. IC has operated on this premise ever since; ultimately expanding our branch network into Leominster, Ayer, Westminster and Worcester.

In 2018, we moved into the MetroWest community with a new branch location at the APEX Center in Marlborough. Our vision was to bring that same members-helping-members approach to new communities that may need our help. Over the past four years, we’ve come to learn more about the area and the many fine community banks and credit unions that also call Marlborough home. It is evident that Marlborough is well positioned with access to financial services and does not require the same level of support we anticipated.

As a result, We’ve made the decision to close our Marlborough Office located at 160A Apex Drive in Marlborough, effective 11/30/2022. There will be no impact to your accounts as the result of this change. They remain safe, secure and accessible.

While we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time in MetroWest, our roots remain deep in the North Central community. Refocusing our efforts will allow IC to continue strengthening the prosperity and financial wellbeing of those right in our backyard.

  • We found that the city of Marlborough has a lot of access to financial services and doesn’t require the same level of support we anticipated.

What other ways can I access my accounts?

Is there anything I need to do?

  • No, your membership with IC isn’t tied to one branch. You can visit any branch location or do your banking online just as you were able to before.
