IC Credit Union, in continuing with their newly announced “EmPower – A Community Connection” initiative, have made their second donation in the amount of $4,000. The Marlborough Community Cupboard Director, Barbara LaGrenade stated: “Just yesterday, about 60 people came to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables. This year, we have 437 families slated to receive Thanksgiving meals, and we’ve been saving for months for this, as it’s an increase of over 40% from last year.” “This check will cover the purchase of turkeys,” said Ms. LeGrenade, “and we are grateful for this gift.”
“This has been a tough time for many,” said Carolyn Perla, SVP at IC, “and being able to help our community food banks help others, means the world to all of us at IC.”
